Who We Are

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations. 


What You Will Do

We are looking to appoint a Specialist Educator to participate as core faculty facilitating the delivery of local and national quality improvement training programmes.

Key tasks will include but will not be limited to:

  • Participate as part of the national QI faculty team delivering the Scottish Improvement Leader programme, Scottish Coaching and Leading for Improvement programme and Scottish Improvement Foundation skills
  • Deliver content for programmes to a range of audiences in a range of settings, including virtually
  • Contribute to the QI Faculty team
  • Coaching and supporting teams with improvement work
  • Contribute to development, delivery and evaluation of QI programmes
  • Contribute to professional development of all QI team members, participating in team improvement initiatives


What You Will Bring

This will include but is not limited to:

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
  • Experience of facilitating the delivery of educational programmes
  • Knowledge and experience of QI methodology
  • Knowledge and experience of change management methodology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team


Please note that frequent travel within the UK is a requirement of this role.
