Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is an education and training body and a special health board within NHS Scotland, with responsibility of developing and delivering education and training for the healthcare workforce in Scotland. The NES Digital Group develop and lead a programme of work and services that support the corporate functions that allow NES to work and deliver its strategic objectives.
What You'll Do
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled ASP.NET/C# Web Developer to join our team. You will play a key role in a project which will transform the way digital services are delivered within NHS Scotland, using cutting edge technologies.

What You'll Bring
It is vital that you are an enthusiastic developer with a real passion for using and improving your skills and knowledge to help produce top quality web applications on a large scale in an agile environment. In addition to technical skills, you must be able to work well as part of a team, feel confident interacting with people and can work using your initiative.
Essential skills and experience will include but are not restricted to:
- Experience developing web applications using .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Entity Framework/NHibernate, SQL Server etc.)
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Web services, especially Web API
- Some experience working across the full software development lifecycle in an Agile environment.
Desirable skills and experience will include:
- Continuous Integration and Deployment using TeamCity/Azure Devops or similar
- Cloud technologies, such as MS Azure or AWS
