Newly Qualified Radiographers Encouraged To Apply

Are you looking to develop your experience in Trauma and CT?

The Belford Hospital can offer you a great work/life balance in a stunning rural location.

Fort William is in an area of outstanding natural beauty with a wide range of outdoor activities available. Ben Nevis overlooks the town, and the Nevis range offers Mountain Biking, with the World Cup Downhill course. In the winter, skiing at the Nevis Range and Glencoe are easily accessible. Glasgow and Inverness are both less than 2 hours away. This post is a rare opportunity to live and work in a remote, rural environment, with a CT and general rotation.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Radiographer to join our small friendly team in providing a 24/7 Plain film and CT service. If an initial appointment is made at Band 5 level, you will be trained to a Band 6 post in Trauma and CT.

Belford Hospital is a busy Rural General Hospital in Fort William covering a large geographical area. It has a 24 hour Emergency Department receiving many casualties from mountain trauma. There is a 17 bed CAU, 2 bed HDU and a 15 bed Rehabilitation ward.

The X-ray Department is equipped with general purpose DR x-ray unit, a CR room (soon to be replaced), a 64 slice CT scanner and an ultrasound scanner.  There is also RIS and PACS. There is an on-call commitment to provide a 24/7 service at night and weekends.

You should have a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography, HCPC registration and clinical experience in a range of diagnostic imaging investigations. We support CPD and role development, with Advanced Practice within the Department. You should also be a patient-centered Radiographer with a commitment to training and development.
