Part Time; 1 PA (4 hours per week)

Fixed Term for 3 years - Post will be offered as an SLA / Secondment in the first instance.

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.

The FPD is responsible for the overall management and quality management of a Foundation programme which consists of approximately 30 trainees (both F1 and F2). The FPD supports the delivery of Foundation training programmes and ensures that Foundation doctors are able to access a comprehensive range of experiences to enable them to gain the competencies necessary for full registration and completion of foundation training.

The Applicant must be a Recognised trainer. They should be a Consultant, General Practitioner or Career Grade Doctor and is accountable to the Postgraduate Dean through the Associate Dean and Consortium Lead. He or she may also combine the role with that of an educational and/or clinical supervisor.
