PUBLIC DENTAL SERVICE
Senior Dental Officer– Paediatric Dentistry (Band B)
Full time 37.5 hours per week
SALARY £65,103 - £76,147
This is a new post that has been created to meet the changing needs of the Paediatric Dental service in NHS Lothian.
The Paediatric Dental Service is part of the Lothian Oral Health Service. We provide dental care for children referred by general dental practitioners and other agencies with a wide range of disability and impairment from a number of locations in Lothian.
We are looking for a self motivated individual with excellent communication, patient management and clinical skills who can demonstrate leadership and team management qualities and a willingness to support your colleagues within the team and become involved in staff training.
The Senior Dental officer in Paediatric Dentistry must be a dental graduate and be currently fully registered with the General Dental Council. In addition the post-holder should have extensive post qualification experience (including experience relevant to the post). Possession of a post graduate qualification relevant to the post is essential. Possession of list number or ability to gain a list number is essential.
The post is full time but part time and job sharing will be considered.
