An Audio Typist is required to help provide a comprehensive typing service to Medical Consultants and Junior staff within a busy department as well as supporting the secretarial team. Occasional assistance in other admin roles may be required within the service. The role of the job is challenging and a high degree of accuracy is required at all times. You will be required to use your own initiative and competency whilst exercising a high degree of confidentiality. You will be responsible for scheduling your own workload to ensure typing is done within turnaround targets.

You will also be responsible for producing accurate outcome sheets for the relevant secretaries to act on which will include being proactive in understanding how to pull such data from dictation and resolve problems including incorrect or unclear dictation. You should have advanced keyboard skills and knowledge of using PC and have the ability to organise and prioritise workload. The hours of this post are worked Monday to Friday.
