You will assist the Senior Charge Midwife to deliver high quality evidence based woman and baby centred care. You will be involved in providing both individualised patient care and in planning, implementing and evaluating clinical care within all areas of the maternity service, ensuring compliance with Greater and (GG&C) policies and procedures and maintaining statutory requirements in accordance with the NMC. You will deliver a high quality service, providing clinical intervention to clients in a range of locations including hospitals, health centres and patient homes. It is essential you are a registered Midwife with current NMC registration. A current Driving Licence is required for this post. The geographic area covered includes rural and remote areas where public transport services are limited. The nature of the role requires that you be able to reach the unit when ‘on call’ within 60 minutes of being called therefore it is a requirement that you are resident within 60 minutes travel time of the unit.
