Our vision is for Renfrewshire to be a caring place where people are treated as individuals and are supported to live well. We have full and part time posts available for Health Care Support Workers to work within our community nursing services. You will initially provided a Community Phlebotomy Service which over a two year period will develop into Renfrewshire's Community Care & Treatment Services. The Community Treatment & Care Service will work collaboratively with the District Nursing Service and General Practice. The key responsibilities of the Community Treatment & Care service include: Phlebotomy, management of minor injuries and dressings, ear syringing & suture removal. Phlebotomy experience is essential; however you will work within a supportive team, and have access to training, support and supervision to meet continuing professional development needs. You will treat patients individually in a clinic setting or at home and be educated to a SVQ Level 3 in Healthcare, or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills gained through experience in a similar role. You will also have a key role in health improvement initiatives and will be required to work flexibly in terms of location to support the wider service.
