Salary: £94,311 per annum

Abbey Health Centre is situated in the historic, traditional fishing town of Arbroath in the heart of Angus on the East Coast of Scotland. The town is surrounded by stunning scenery with beaches, cliffs and just a short drive away the beautiful Angus glens wait to be explored. The town is famous for the Declaration of Independence and the Arbroath Smokie, still traditionally smoked today. Just a few miles away the world famous Carnoustie Golf Course is available for a round with The Old Course at St. Andrews less than an hours’ car journey away. We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic person who will embrace the community spirit that is a quintessential part of Arbroath and who will be passionate in supporting the provision of a sustainable future for General Practice. The ideal candidate will be innovative and driven with a desire to make a real difference to the practice and local community. Applicants wishing to work less than full time will be considered.
Prospective candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of supporting change management and quality improvement. An interest in training and supporting the development of the practice team will be integral to this exciting opportunity to be part of delivering high quality person-centred care to a practice population of approximately 6,200
As a Board run (2c) practice the post-holder will be supported by Angus Health & Social Care Partnership to implement and deliver the requirements of the GMS contract 2018. Collaborative working with the South-East Cluster of Arbroath and Friockheim practices is unique in that there is co-operation with, and sessional input from, the locality GP practices. The practice also benefits from a close working relationship with Arbroath Infirmary with a particular emphasis of Medicine for the Elderly
