Information Services (ISD) is part of Public Health and Intelligence (PHI) within NHS National Services Scotland (NSS). ISD collects, validates, interprets and disseminates health and health service information and intelligence for Scotland. Scotland has some of the best health service data in the world. Few other countries have information which combines high quality data, consistency, national coverage and the ability to link data to allow patient based analysis and follow up. PHI is a multidisciplinary organisation that includes responsibility for information and health protection services for Scotland.


You will be on the GMC Specialist Register for Public Health or within 6 months of inclusion at the expected date of appointment or registered with the UK Public Health Register. The focus of the post will be on maternal health, sexual health and screening programmes. Candidates who wish to work flexibly, part-time or job share will be considered.  


The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who has worked overseas for more than 3 months will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
