NHS Lothian Staff Bank currently have opportunities for experienced Band 5 Registered Nurses. There are a number of shifts available across the Lothian’s within general nursing.

All Staff Bank roles are to cover temporary shortages across NHS Lothian and interested candidates are required to evidence on application, awareness of the Staff Bank function and individual commitment to being part of this supplementary workforce. Applicants are also required to evidence current NMC Registration on application and at point of interview.
We are looking for good team workers, who are able to provide compassionate and high quality person centred care. Work would be allocated on an "as and when required basis" with different shift patterns available to suit flexible working. Within the Staff Bank system, there are no guarantees of a fixed amount of hours each week as this is a demand led service. Bank workers are asked to submit their availability in advance and shifts are then booked either online or by telephoning the Staff Bank office.
All successful candidates will be required to undertake a one week mandatory induction programme prior to commencing employment and complete a probationary period of 12 shifts in not less than 12 weeks.
