As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out routine personal care/assist with routine examination duties for patients, in support of (and supervised by), a registered nurse/clinician. The post holder will ensure a person centred approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy.
The post holder will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward/department environment.
Duties may vary with the type of ward/department and the degree of patient dependency.
To provide a high quality, safe and supportive environment in order to care for patients within the clinicqal area , meeting identified physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients and carers.
Promoting self care, enabling people with long term conditions to live as independently as possible in their communities by ensuring that appropriate services and support are available to the patient and their carers.
Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment.
