This is a great opportunity to join our friendly and supportive Substance Use Psychology Service. Our team has a strong focus on staff wellbeing and development and the post holder will have the opportunity to contribute to both. The successful candidate will provide expert triage and direct clinical input to patients with comorbid substance use and psychological distress, as well as staff supervision, training and consultancy. The Substance Use Psychology team includes a mix of psychologists, CBT therapists, and recovery coordinators with lived experience of substance use, which allows us to work creatively to provide bespoke, evidence-based psychological treatment based on individual needs. 

The post holder will be managed and supervised by the head of the Substance use Psychology Service. We are looking for a suitably qualified Psychologist with an interest in working with both substance use and complex trauma who is innovative and has experience of working within a multidisciplinary team. Formal training in clinical supervision is a key requirement as is experience of providing consultancy and training to other professionals.   

This post will require occasional travel, so the ability to travel across NHS Forth Valley is essential. Candidates must have a Postgraduate Doctoral level (or equivalent) degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, and be registered with the HCPC.
