Principal Clinical Scientist and Clinical IT Lead North Glasgow Biochemistry

Based in Glasgow Royal Infirmary


We welcome applications to join a team of 5 consultant staff and 8 clinical scientists in Glasgow Royal Infirmary, a major teaching and tertiary referral hospital. This well equipped department provides regional and supra regional specialist endocrine, vitamin and trace element analyses. You will take lead role for scientific and clinical direction of IT for North Glasgow Clinical Biochemistry.  You will have the opportunity to join a team of scientists working to develop methods and drive improvements to our clinical service. You will be expected to participate in all aspects of the department including reporting, clinical liaison, research and development, teaching and audit.


You will have substantial experience as a Clinical Scientist in Biochemistry and developed expertise in one or more specialist analytical or clinical areas. You will be HCPC registered and have completed the FRCPath examination.
