NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is the largest health organisation in Scotland providing acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of 1.2 million in 6 local authority areas. The Acute service provides a complex range of Hospital services across the population of Greater Glasgow and Clyde. In addition, the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital will be designated as a major trauma centre from 2022. An opportunity has arisen to join the Regional Services Directorate Management Team within Neurology, Rehabilitation Medicine and Spinal Injuries at an exciting time.

 

You will report to the General Manager for Neurosciences, OMFS, Rehabilitation Medicine, Spinal Injuries and WestMARC and have responsibility for developing and implementing services within key acute service areas ensuring there is a clear focus on the delivery of a range of high quality, safe and efficient patient centred services to meet local and national targets.

 

With strong influencing and leadership qualities you will require to evidence significant experience in operational management in a healthcare or equivalent complex environment. You will the ability to inspire confidence and respect to lead and deliver in a politically sensitive and demanding environment. Key to the success of this role will be the ability to contribute to the development of a strong, patient-focused culture which encourages initiative, individual and team responsibility and open communication.
