This is a challenging opportunity to help harness the buying power of more than £1.5 billion spent on national contracts each year across the NHS in Scotland. National Procurement, the Procurement Centre of Expertise for Health, works in collaboration with Health Boards to ensure the highest level of patient care through the provision of a wide range of goods and services via a series of best value National Contracts and Distribution Services.
Data and information are key to the success of this process. Working within the NDC Supply Chain team you will support the development, implementation and delivery of national contracts whilst building specialist product and market knowledge. Educated to HND level (or equivalent) you will have strong data gathering and analysing capabilities with an eye for detail. Experience in procurement or Health Service background would be an advantage. These positions are either focused in supporting the various activities around ongoing CV19 stock provision and fulfilment as well as daily activity in relation to product supply for health boards, or will support the various activities within the NDC Category team including delivery of 21-22 work plan.
The successful candidate(s) must comply with the Mandatory Induction Standards and with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers.
