An exciting opportunity has arisen for full time, permanent Band 5 staff nurses to join the Community Alcohol and Drug Service, which is the primary NHS treatment service for people with alcohol and drug dependence problems. We work closely with our partner agencies as we move towards integration of services allowing for greater flexibility of treatment options.

 

Applicants must have first level nursing registration (RMN). Experience of working with people with substance use problems would be an advantage.

 

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of a caseload under the supervision of the locality team Case Manager/Charge Nurse, providing assessment, care planning and treatment to people referred with substance use dependence problems.

 

You should be highly motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to manage a caseload and to organise your workload in an efficient and effective manner. You will also have the ability to function as an integral member of a team.
