NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Information Governance Manager/Deputy Data Protection Officer. You will work to reduce the risk of non-compliance across the Board with regard to the Data Protection Act 2018, General Data Protection Regulations, Caldicott guidelines, Access to Health Records Act 1990 and other associated legislation and policy. You will be the named Records Manager for the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011. You will be expected to inform, influence and direct the NHS Board and its Partner Agencies including the Police and Local Authorities on all aspects of Information Governance and deal with a range of complex IG issues which will require interpretation. You will act as Deputy Data Protection Officer. . It is essential that you can demonstrate the ability to interpret complex legislation and litigation relating to Information Governance and its practical application, preferably within NHS. You will have detailed knowledge of Data Protection and the Caldicott Principles, coupled with experience in providing managing a team, You will be a self-starter and require excellent organisational and people skills, and possess a high standard of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and should be educated to Degree level or equivalent and be able to demonstrate the revalent experience in data protection.For informal discussion about this post, please call Isobel Brown, Data Protection Officer on 0141 355 2020.
