We are looking for 2 temporary Band 6 Nurses, Community Specialist Mental Health, to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team based at Renfrewshire CAMHS, for a fixed period of 18 months. The candidate must have First level Registered Mental Nurse (RMN/RNLD) with NMC Registration, Relevant post registration experience of working with children and or young people (and their families/carers) with a range of mental health/ learning disability and neuro-developmental difficulties, an ability to work independently using own initiative and without direct supervision. They must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and team working skills and demonstrates a positive attitude towards children and young people alongside an understanding of children and young people’s mental health and developmental needs.
The candidate must demonstrate an understanding of family, community, and social systems.
He/She should have the ability to function competently as a member of the multi-disciplinary and multi-agency team and have knowledge of factors which impact on mental health and emotional well-being. They must be able to conceptualise vulnerability, including risk factors and intervene to build resilience. He/she must demonstrate an ability/willingness to work towards achieving the competencies identified in ‘Essential CAMHS’ and a commitment to personal and professional development. They should have evidence of organisational skills and experience of multi-disciplinary working.
The post holder may be expected to participate in the provision of on call/out of hours cover on a rotational basis which will involve working out-with normal hours
