As NHS Scotland's unique provider of a national tele-health and tele-care service, we are responsible for the delivery of health advice and information by telephone and online services to the population of Scotland 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. NHS 24 is a patient-focused service providing the people of Scotland with triage, advice, guidance, referral and information on health and healthcare services

In addition to this NHS 24 manages the national COVID 19 telephone service. All calls are ring-fenced and are answered by trained Call Operators and we require experienced Clinical Supervisors to support them by providing the required levels of clinical supervision

Working in a tele-health and tele-care service will provide an opportunity to strengthen and enhance existing clinical knowledge and experience during this national pandemic.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit experienced Clinical Supervisors to join our virtual healthcare teams across Scotland to support COVID 19 calls   

As an NHS 24 Clinical Supervisor you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, across 7 days including working 5/8 weekends and be a clinical point of contact for the people of Scotland to access health care.

This role requires professional clinical staff who can work independently and who are confident to make critical decisions.  Clinical Supervisors also work in collaboration with a highly skilled team including pharmacists, physiotherapists, doctors and counsellors. Working in teams they provide Clinical Supervision to non clinical staff and will when required using their clinical decision making skills to ensure the safest, most appropriate outcome, for all patients, at all times.

The rota for this vacancy is as below.  This can be supported by one individual working full-time, or being split between two staff members contracted to work 18.5 hours per week.
