The main objective of the MDT co-ordinator is to facilitate a clinically-appropriate and timely pathway for cancer / suspected cancer patients. You will be responsible for the efficient running of multidisciplinary team meetings for specialty. This involves organising the meetings, ensuring the necessary documentation is available to allow appropriate treatment decision- making, recording the outcome and decisions made at the meetings and co-ordinating the patient pathway. Post is based within GGC and will support regional MDTs.
Minimum Requirements Essential
A further qualification in administration or equivalent experience.
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office systems
Excellent keyboard skills
Extensive knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of cancer pathways and terminology
Ability to work flexibly and on own initiative
Desirable
Knowledge/experience of information systems used within GG&C
Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams
The shift pattern for this post is between 7.45am - 6.00pm - weekdays.
