We are delighted to advertise for 2 exciting and newly developed part-time permanent Band 6 Occupational Therapist posts working within the dynamic and fast paced Fastrack Team.

As part of the front door services, you will be responsible for the initial assessment, treatment and discharge planning of patients to prevent inappropriate admission by providing a specialist Therapy Fast Track assessment and discharge facilitation service (TFS) to patients presenting at the “Front Door”, who have medical / care needs but do not require to be admitted to hospital for acute medical intervention.

You will also be responsible for providing a specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and screening service to people with acute illness and multi-pathological and multi-social needs who are admitted for short term medical assessment, facilitating early supported discharge and reducing length of stay for those patients who have been identified as medically fit in order to maximise bed capacity

Your working pattern would consist of working 2 long days “on” (0800-2000) and 5 days “off” per week. You would be work one full weekend out of every five weekends. Staff would also be supported to join the NHS Forth Valley OT Staff Bank if they would like to work additional hours on a casual basis, covering staff absence in the Fastrack Team and other areas of NHS Forth Valley.
