An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join the ECMS – Medical Specialities team within Royal Alexandra Hospital. This post is based within Ward 11, a 30 bedded Acute Respiratory ward
You will become part of the nursing team who will support the assessment, planning and delivery of specialist care. Enhanced interventions delivered within this service include Non Invasive Ventilation, High Flow Nasal Oxygen, complex chest drain management, artificial airway management and elective / emergency pleural intervention. You will be responsible for care planning and care delivery for a complex patient group with a mix of Respiratory acute and chronic illness. You will be supported during an induction period and will be co-mentored to allow for completion of local clinical framework competencies to ensure safe and effective delivery of care. You must be able to demonstrate your ability to engage in contemporary ward culture and support the clinical team and engage in programmes of care to enhance the patient journey. Excellence in care is a primary focus of our service and we are seeking candidates who are innovative and creative with quality improvement to support the service vision. You will be responsible to the Senior Charge Nurse and be expected to work on your own merit, be supported by your colleagues and remain engaged in productive team dynamics. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and having previous respiratory/medical experience would be desirable. The shift pattern for this post is fully rotational.
