An exciting opportunity has arisen within Glasgow City HSCP South Locality for a Senior Business Support Assistant (Full-time) to join the South Health Improvement Team on a permanent basis. The post is NHS Band 4.

Reporting to a South Locality Health Improvement Lead, you will support South Locality HSCP area, providing effective operational secretarial, administrative and budgetary support to the South Health Improvement Team .

You will have responsibility for an extensive portfolio of core work of secretarial/administrative duties and will provide budgetary/financial support to the HI Manager and Leads as well as supporting wider team members.

You will have excellent communication, administrative and IT skills with knowledge of current computer packages. You will be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. This post requires relevant experience of working in an administrative environment with knowledge of office environment, equipment and systems . Supporting the work of the South Health Improvement Team, this post requires good communication skills both written and verbal, as well as good organisational and time management skills.

This post is working within the South Health Improvement Team, supporting secretarial, administrative and tasks for the organisation and staff including tasks that overall contribute to supporting the health and well being programmes delivered locally. You will supervise the day to day administration of the service, ensuring its smooth running and efficiency.  The postholder will be the day to day supervisor of Band 2 and 3 staff within the service. The post holder monitors budget/expenditure on behalf of the management team and the wider organisation as required. The post holder arranges with the Procurement Department the processing of purchase requisitions confirms receipt of goods and services and deals with payment and invoice enquiries as required.

The post offered is for 5 days (37.5) hours per week, with the working pattern of Monday to Friday.
