A speech and language therapist is required for this 1 year post based within West Dunbartonshire CHCP, based at Vale of Leven Hospital, Alexandria. You will provide a Speech & Language Therapy service to adults with complex communication and / or swallowing difficulties; incorporating assessment, diagnosis, management and discharge, after appropriate dysphasia training. You will see patients from a varied caseload including those with a stroke, MND, Parkinsons Disease, dementia and voice. You will see patients in an inpatient setting, outpatients, care homes and domicillary visits. You will participate in the delivery of highly specialist indirect patient care e.g. training / teaching packages, within a multi-agency approach. You will have regular support from a small friendly team of two Speech & Language Therapists and one SLT clinical support worker. You will receive regular formal clinical supervision and attend regular locality meetings. You will have a Degree or equivalent in Speech & Language Therapy, Health Professions Council Registration & Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. The hours of this post will be worked Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.
