An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse to lead on the delivery, development and management of care for Rheumatology patients across Fife. 
The Fife Rheumatic Disease Unit provides Multidisciplinary Care to people in Fife experiencing Rheumatology related disease and Osteoporosis; the department also offers a Fracture Liaison service.  The department is based in Whyteman’s Brae Hospital in Kirkcaldy with clinics running across Fife.  We work closely with our colleagues in the Acute Division to ensure the delivery of seamless, person centred care to all patients.   
You will provide expert clinical leadership to the nursing team which comprises of Rheumatology Nurse Specialists, an Osteoporosis Nurse Specialist and a Fracture Liaison Nurse. You will work as a key member of the Multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of safe, person centred, rights based care is delivered to all individuals accessing the service.  You will be responsible for driving forward Quality Improvement initiatives and monitoring safety and effectiveness. You will be an experienced rheumatology nurse or have extensive experience in a related specialty. You will be educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate a level of practice commensurate with this.  A non medical prescribing qualification is preferred but is not essential, however a commitment to undertake this qualification is. You will be committed, motivated and demonstrate an ability to lead your team in a compassionate, calm and structured manner.
