An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse Educator within AAU / CAU at FVRH. 

We are looking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated, enthusiastic registered nurse who is ready to embrace the challenges of the AAU nursing workforce re-design. 

This post holder will have specific responsibilities including the identification and mapping of training and education for our AAU workforce in line with local and national drivers.  The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Department Manager, Head of Organisational Development, Learning and Education and the wider nursing team to embed clear clinical governance structures into the unit for the training and education of staff, ensuring that the AAU / CAU nursing workforce fulfils their requirements to local and national patient safety programmes of work.

They will also work conjointly with the AAU Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Nurse Practitioners ensuring that safe & effective person centred care is achieved through the delivery of a programme of tailored education and training specific to the medical receiving environment.  

The post holder will coordinate, collaborate and deliver programmes of training to the workforce within AAU / CAU as well as working on the defined aspect of the wider specific job role. 

The successful candidate will have clear leadership skills, experience in delivering education and training, clear and unambiguous communication skills, a sound clinical knowledge of acute receiving unscheduled care and a willingness to commit to developing teams.  He/she should also demonstrate evidence of experience in the mentorship & support of colleagues, education delivery and skills needs analysis in relation to training.

Essential Credentials for these posts must include:
• Substantial experience at AFC Band 6 or 7 within an Acute Care / Education environment
• Willingness to develop staff and lead on workforce initiatives / Quality Improvement work
• Enthusiasm for developing and embedding patient safety initiatives through education within the unit
• Genuine interest in Education and Training and a willingness to develop the role further
