We are looking for highly motivated members of staff to join our advanced practitioner teams within primary care and out-of-hours in NHS Forth Valley.
These posts offer a number of options to applicants:
- GP practice based: triaging and assessing urgent care presentations
- Out-of-Hours: centre triaging and assessing urgent care presentations including home visiting
- A hybrid model of working both in General Practice and Out-of-Hours where the role has a degree of flexibility to assure and promote a healthy work / life balance
We are seeking highly motivated practitioners who will embrace the challenge of these dynamic roles. All applicants should possess the ability to prioritise fluctuating workloads, remain focused, work across professional boundaries and be flexible.
Essential Qualifications for band 7:
- HEI accredited Independent Prescribing Qualification - V300
- HEI accredited Clinical Examination & history taking course
- HEI accredited clinical decision-making module with a primary care or urgent care focus
Highly Desirable:
- Previous advanced practice experience
- Experience in autonomous practice in primary care or out–of-hours
- Autonomously managing undifferentiated urgent presentations such as experience as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner
Applicants should have or be working towards the following skills / qualifications
- Post graduate diploma in advanced practice
On this occasion we are welcoming applications for trainee posts where we will support the development of individuals to meet advanced practice competencies using a triangulation approach of academic courses, professional supervision and clinical practice supervision. Applicants for trainee posts should have demonstrated evidence of undertaking study or development relevant to the advanced practice pathway.
