The post holder has professional and managerial responsibility for the service, on a 24-hour basis within the theatre setting and has overall responsibility for both clinical and staff governance issues.
Ensure the highest standard of personalised care is delivered to patients and their families in partnership with all members of the multi disciplinary team.
Has overall responsibility for supervision of the assessment of care needs and the delivery and maintenance of optimal care outcomes.
The individual is expected to motivate staff to provide high standards of care by acting as a role model.
To support the Clinical Nurse Manager and deputise in his/her absence.
The post holder may be expected to participate in duty rosters consisting of day, weekend, late and night shift working, where required. The post holder will be required to participate in on call rosters, which provide 24 hour cover over 7 days per week.
