SPECIALIST PHARMACIST Band 7
PERMANENT Post 0.5 WTE + EDC

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a specialist clinical pharmacist to join the mental health team delivering pharmacy services to the Royal Edinburgh and Associated Services Division. The post holder will lead on delivery of a high quality clinical pharmacy service to the adult mental health services for Midlothian patients.
The post holder will work as part of a team of clinical pharmacists providing a service to identified Mental Health directorates. Key areas for patient focused care include provision of pharmaceutical care to vulnerable patients, medication history reviews, provision of a medicines information service, maintenance of a high-dose antipsychotic monitoring system, monitoring adherence to the Mental Health Act, patient/carer education. The successful provision of this service relies on multidisciplinary working. The post holder will also have close links with other members of the pharmacy team across NHS Lothian
