To lead, co-ordinate and develop pharmaceutical services in the prison healthcare services and area of substance misuse in accordance with identified local priorities and needs, providing clinical support to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
To advise NHS Lothian on matters relating to drug and alcohol misuse that affect pharmacy services.
To contribute pharmaceutical expertise to the prison healthcare services and on substance misuse to strategic and operational planning within NHS Lothian, the Substance Misuse Service Management Team, Local Drug Treatment Services, and Community Pharmacy Services.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
