Mental Health Complex Needs and Frailer Adult Rehabilitation Service
Royal Edinburgh Hospital and Associated Services are seeking to recruit a team of highly motivated and skilled individuals to initially work in a new 4 bed service for adults with complex presentations of mental disorder and behaviours that are challenging for others, who also by nature of their physical frailty, require intensive person centred care and rehabilitation.
The service will provide a range of psychotherapeutic interventions according to individual patient formulations of need, including those evidenced for psychological trauma, enablement and socialisation. The staff team will practice around an ethos of reflective practice and as such, it is important we recruit a staff team who are able to demonstrate their willingness to work together as a team with a shared vision and ethos.
This service is part of the mental health rehabilitation services which are undergoing significant transformation over the next 3 years. These initial 4 beds are the first step in this transformation and will at a later date be transferred into the new rehabilitation and low secure services planned in Phase 2 of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital re-provision.
The team is made up of mental health nurses, health support staff, social support staff, occupational therapist, psychologist, arts and music therapist, psychiatrists and other allied health professionals according to individual requirements.
Non-Registered Nurse (Mental Health), Agenda for Change Band 3 x 7 posts contracted Hours 37.5hrs worked flexibly 5 days over a 7 day / night working week (rotational) and 1 post 30hrs worked flexibly over a 7 day / night working week (rotational).
