NHS Lanarkshire Clinical Fellow in Trauma & Orthopaedics University Hospital Wishaw |
An opportunity has arisen within NHS Lanarkshire’s Orthopaedic Service for a Clinical Fellow at University Hospital Wishaw. We are looking to appoint from February 2020 until August 2020.
These posts will offer excellent experience in Orthopaedics and the successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the orthopaedic junior rota (full shift).
The orthopaedic services within NHS Lanarkshire have first class facilities, with a pneumatic tube system to transfer patient samples, and all hospitals have a computerised results service within NHS Lanarkshire to provide a comprehensive service to the local community and beyond.
The hospital has a fully staffed dedicated orthopaedic clinic area, which includes extensive plastering and splinting facilities. There is a core of trained orthopaedic nursing staff throughout.
NHS Lanarkshire is constantly reviewing its rotas to maintain New Deal compliance together with the new arrangements as set down by the Scottish Government and Scottish Medical Training (SMT). Rotas therefore, may be subject to change.
NHS Lanarkshire has excellent post-graduate libraries and IT facilities. Active post-graduate educational programmes are in place, including dedicated protected teaching sessions for junior doctors.
This post is open primarily to applicants who do not require a Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship to take up employment in the UK. Any applications from applicants who do require Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship will be considered only if no suitable UK or EEA national is identified for the post.
