This is an excellent opportunity to join our busy hospital pharmacy where you will be supported to undertake NES Foundation Training. You will gain experience in a wide variety of clinical specialties, participating in the multidisciplinary team to provide high quality patient care. As the hospital has recently introduced site wide electronic prescribing, you will also utilise this technology in all aspects of the pharmacy service.


JOB PURPOSE

·    To provide patient focused quality pharmaceutical care and to assure an efficient and timely supply of pharmaceutical advice and medication.
·    To assist in the delivery of pharmacotherapy and prescribing support within a Locality
·    To undertake the Vocational Foundation Training
·    To participate in the pharmacy emergency duty service and weekend working as    
      appropriate


KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB

Masters of Pharmacy Degree
Successful completion of pre-registration experience and exam
Registered member of General Pharmaceutical Council  
Ability to work under pressure.  
Able to plan, prioritise and organise workload
Experience in patient information/education
Ability to effectively monitor patients therapeutic regimens in order to ensure effectiveness and reduce toxicity
Able to work under their own initiative and as part of a team.  
Commitment to revalidation as per directions of General Pharmaceutical Council.  
Good verbal and written communication skills
Self motivation
Good interpersonal skills
Demonstrate customer awareness/focus.  
Weekends and public holidays
Participation in pharmacy emergency duty service
Willingness to contribute to the general working of the pharmacy department.  
Experience in primary care/ hospital practice is desirable
