An exciting opportunity has arisen to help provide Innovation leadership across NHS Fife Health Board and Health and Social Care Partnership (H&SCP). Developing and implementing strategic direction and a governance framework to support Innovation within NHS Fife and H&SCP and across the South East of Scotland region through our participation in the South East Region Health Innovation Hub (HISES).

You will be required to develop, support and grow an Innovation portfolio that reflects local, regional and national priorities, provide advice to the Research, Innovation and Knowledge (RIK) team, work closely with colleagues, academics, industry and members of the leadership team of HISES.

Substantial experience of Innovation support, or equivalent, within the Public Sector, NHS Management and leadership at a senior level are highly desirable. Experience of supporting significant Innovation projects and/or Small Business Research Initiatives (SBRI’s) would be viewed positively. In depth specialist knowledge and understanding of the application of the legislation and guidance surrounding health innovation, particularly digital/e- health innovation or the willingness to learn, are also required.

Education to postgraduate level in a relevant discipline (MSc or above), or 3-5 years of equivalent experience, would be expected.

You will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal, negotiation and organisational skills able to work independently and efficiently and to influence at a senior level.

You will work with a high degree of accuracy, initiative and flexibility and be able to form good working relationships across the RIK team, HISES and with University and Industry collaborators and stakeholders.

You will be primarily based within the RIK Department at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, although flexible working and working from home will be considered. You will be expected to travel to NHS Fife sites, across the South East and nationally, as required.
