Locum Appointment for Training in Acute and General Medicine, Western General Hospital, Edinburgh
Applications are invited for the above 8 month Fixed Term full time post (40hrs per week) in acute and general medicine based at the Western General Hospital (WGH), Edinburgh.
This post has deanery approval for training and the successful applicant will receive training opportunities at level ST3 based on previous experience.
The post will work across the Medical department including MAU (medical admissions unit) and downstream medical wards (ward 26 and 27) for the 8 month period attached to General Medicine. This post is well supervised and you will have the opportunity to manage a range of acute medical problems and to develop your clinical leadership within these areas.
In addition to clinical management, we would expect you to take part in quality improvement projects, the clinical teaching programme and appraisal.
