South East Adult Mental Health Teams

Specialist Occupational Therapist

Band 6

37.5 hours per week Permanent

An opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist, registered with HCPC, to join the South East (South East) Locality Adult Mental Health Team - OT Service.

The SE Occupational Therapy team is led by a Lead Occupational Therapist and is part of a wider Adult Mental Health, Occupational Therapy community network. The Occupational Therapy service works specifically for those with identified occupational performance needs and uses MOHO and AMPS assessments in addition to core mental health assessments. Interventions are delivered in either individual or group format.

Working with a defined caseload across multi-professional teams, the post-holder will work with individuals with a variety of diagnoses including complex trauma and neuro-developmental disorders and is expected to utilise and liaise with, a wide range of non-statutory services and resources.

We are searching for a candidate who is passionate about individuals functioning well in their own community - including local student campus.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level with Post Graduate qualification or specialist knowledge gained through experience / working across a range of areas, which can be demonstrated.

This is a permanent post which offers the opportunity to be involved in helping shape services in South East Edinburgh as the services develop the Thrive model.

The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday.
