Part Time 22.5 hours per week. Salary will be pro rata.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
The Healthcare provision within the Scottish Prison Service is based around a model of care specifically aimed at delivering Primary Care, Mental Health and Addiction services.
The role of the Healthcare Assistant is to support professional healthcare staff to delivery care within the healthcare centre/establishment in line with the standards and policies of healthcare provision in the NHS.
The role involves assisting the registered nurses to ensure that the physical environment is safe, clean, comfortable and suitable for patient care. To contribute to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients by being an active and supporting member of the team.
