NHS Forth Valley Services have an exciting opportunity to recruit an enthusiastic and forward thinking pharmacist to join their Mental Health Clinical Pharmacy Team.

The team is currently undertaking new and innovative roles within the Health & Social Care Partnership, including independent prescribing models, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams both within the hospital and community and supporting community pharmacists to dispense and provide care for patients prescribed clozapine.

This fixed term post provides a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to expand their skills within mental health specialties. The post-holder will work closely with specialist multi-agency services to develop pharmaceutical care for people with mental health issues and people who use drugs.

You will have highly effective interpersonal, communication and influencing skills and be able to liaise closely with hospital and community colleagues to ensure seamless pharmaceutical care. You will support developments including non medical prescribing, attend multidisciplinary team meetings and undertake psychiatric medication histories. There is potential to be involved in shaping new and innovative models of care in line with health and social care strategies as integrated teams and services develop.

Support will be provided for the development of a Pharmacist who is enthusiastic to learn about this specialist area. Continuous professional development is encouraged and fully supported.
