This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will have responsibility for assessment of care needs, evaluation of care plans, ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients. In the absence of the Clinical Lead the post holder will have continuing responsibility for the management of the Department including supervision and deployment of staff.
The post holder has responsibility and accountability for maintaining both clinical and staff governance.
The post holder may be expected to participate in duty rosters consisting of day, late, weekend and night shift working, where required. The post holder will be required to participate in on call rosters, which provide 24 hour cover over 7 days per week.
The post holder will be expected to function as an independent practitioner by virtue of the in-depth knowledge and experience to provide an on-call service for transplant and retrieval as an explicit part of the role.
