Excellent opportunities to join the Vaccination Transformation Programme within the  Vaccination Centres and in the Community delivering vaccinations including both Covid and Flu vaccines to housebound residents.

Full and part time opportunities are available.  

The post holders will be a Registered Nurse who will support the Vaccination Transformation Programme  in the delivery of the highest quality of health care and will be responsible and accountable for providing skilled nursing interventions as appropriate. The post holder will ensure a person centered approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy.

The post holder will be expected to provide an accessible, appropriate, high quality and effective care service to all age groups in the community, by working in partnership with patients, care providers and other agencies. The successful candidate must be a Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative. Possessing effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills and must have a hold current driving licence and be a car driver.

whilst working within the community the post holder will administer COVID vaccinations to individuals at home, providing person centred, quality based care, undertake pre-immunisation patient assessment, including precautions, contraindications, determination or any patient specific requirement. Administer vaccinations to identified individuals from groups of the population in line with priorities outlined in Scottish Government Guidance. and to the population within various settings and travel throughout NHS Lanarkshire to meet the needs of the service.

The post holder will predominately be carrying out vaccinations to people in their own homes but may be required to assist with at vaccination centres.​​​​​​​

The post holder will Identify, respond and manage any adverse events following vaccination as appropriate to the clinical setting and act in accordance with professional codes of conduct, ethical and legal standards in all aspects of the vaccination programme.
