An exciting opportunity has an arisen in The Institute of Neurological Sciences to join the team as a Senior Charge Nurse within Neurosciences OMFS Critical Care department.
The institute of Neurological Sciences is the regional West of Scotland centre for Neurosurgery, Neurology and Oral-maxillofacial surgery and carries many specialist opportunities due to the complexity of its patient group. We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Registered nurse with experience at Band 6 level who will embrace this dynamic and challenging role. The post holder will possess strong leadership skills and extensive experience in the field of Critical Care. This area cares for critically ill patients from Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Oral Maxillary Facial Surgery. Experience of Neurosciences and OMFS is desirable.
It is desirable that you have a post-basic critical care qualification.
You will demonstrate flexibility, and a willingness to participate in service progression and growth.
The ability to work effectively in a team is essential.
You will work a mix of shifts including early/late/12 hours and support unit coordinator role to ensure safe service provision. You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to patient-centred care, continuing professional development, an understanding of our service, and the specific needs of our patients (or a commitment to learn and develop these skills).
The shift pattern is; Rotational, Monday - Sunday
