To maintain the Sterile Stores to an acceptable level and ensure adequate stocks are available at all times. To uplift/deliver dirty and clean surgical instruments to all areas of the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh on a regular basis and assist as required in the case of any emergencies.
To provide cover as and when required for distribution assistants, drivers and autoclave technicians on the RIE and WGH sites to cover annual leave and sickness.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
