This post is fixed term for 12 months.

This exciting post of Health Improvement Assistant Practitioner sits within the Health Improvement Team based within Planning and Health Improvement, Renfrewshire Health & Social Care Partnership. The health improvement team is responsible for a broad programme of work with the over arching aim of reducing/mitigating against the effects of health inequalities within Renfrewshire. You will be required to support local early years’ establishments to successfully participate in a number of oral health and early years health improvement programmes including the national Childsmile programme. You will work in partnership to build capacity within services to take forward these programmes. You will also be required to undertake wider health improvement activity across the health improvement team in order to meet the needs of the service. You will have experience of working within a relevant health improvement/public health related topic or skills based area e.g oral health, early years and childcare. You should be educated to HND level or equivalent and be willing to undergo additional training and development as part of your role. The shift pattern for this post is 9am to 5pm Monday – Friday with occasional evening working. This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland’s PVG Scheme.
