Are you a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist looking to further develop your skills in the care of patients with Head and Neck Cancer? We currently have a part time (22.5hrs), permanent Band 6 post within our Ayrshire and Arran Head and Neck SLT Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop specialist level knowledge and skills in relation to laryngectomy, tracheostomy, valves and the care of patients with head and neck cancer. This post is part of a small, established SLT team with a focus on collaborative, multidisciplinary working and is supported by a highly specialist SLT.
You will also be well supported by the multidisciplinary team will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues from a range of professional backgrounds. All staff are supported to participate in a robust supervision programme and will be provided with regular CPD opportunities.
The SLT Adult team operate a single system model and work in partnership with our community colleagues. We work closely with colleagues in health, social care, voluntary services, and the third sector to provide a genuinely person-centred service. The successful candidate must be able to effectively manage their own time, demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to show appropriate leadership skills. Experience of working in an acute setting is essential.
Due to the nature of this role, a full driving license and access to a car is required.
Hours: 22.5 per week.
