An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, suitably experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Caithness Team, and be a part of the multi-disciplinary team in the North of Scotland Trauma Network. The post-holder will be based in Caithness and will provide a service to Major Trauma patients in the community. There will be some oversight in Sutherland with remote support, advice and training where necessary.
As this is a Major Trauma Network post, the successful applicant will be expected to bring a wide range of transferrable skills to a complex caseload. Relevant experience in areas such as postural assessment, rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation and complex discharge planning will be required. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a passion for establishing a high quality and evidence based service.
As part of the North of Scotland Major Trauma Network, you will be working closely with community physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, rehab coordinators, medical staff and have links with colleagues working in Major Trauma nationwide.
A full UK driving licence is essential and, though a pool car may be available, applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes.
This is a part-time permanent post of 18.75 hours, to be worked flexibly in accordance with service requirements.
