*Secondment Opportunity – Existing permanent employees must first discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager and complete the secondment request form prior to interview. The secondment request form and the associated secondment policy can be found on the HR/Recruitment intranet pages and must be completed and signed by the substantive line manager. The Candidate should then take it with them to interview as confirmation that an agreement has been granted.
Secondment/fixed term to cover substantive postholder’s secondment for one year.
This post offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Family Support Worker to join the Family Support Team working in Falkirk Health Visiting Service.
Candidates should have a high standard of communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work within a team and on their own initiative. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate a genuine commitment to and show a deep understanding of family issues and should have experience of delivering a variety of support programmes to both children and parents. A willingness to work with partner agencies, under the supervision of the HV Team Leader is also essential.
Candidates should hold or be working towards achieving a relevant SCQF qualification at level 7/8 related to children and young people e.g. Higher National Diploma/ Certificate in Children and Young People’s health and wellbeing or Diploma/ Certificate in Nursery Nursing (NNEB) or equivalent.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
