We have an exciting vision for the future which promotes a culture of person-centered care, placing the patient at the heart of everything we do – We hope that you will consider joining our busy and friendly Audiology team here at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to help us deliver a comprehensive and highly specialist range of Diagnostic Audiology procedures of which our hearing aid service to Adults is a key service .

We are looking to appoint 2 motivated and enthusiastic Hearing Aid Audiologist to join our team, on a permanent basis. In this highly varied role you will be carrying out Hearing assessment for both ENT clinic and Direct Referral patients which includes hearing aid fitting procedures within the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Audiology Service. Working under supervision of Specialist Practitioner you can expect and benefit from a high level of support in your role. 


The successfully appointed candidates will have the option to be based in clinics located in either Glasgow Royal Infirmary /Stobhill Ambulatory Care Hospital in the North of Glasgow or the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital /Victoria Ambulatory Care Hospital located in the South of Glasgow of which both are well serviced by public transport routes.


Both posts are rostered on a Monday to Friday day shift pattern and provide an excellent opportunity for a qualified Hearing Aid Audiologist seeking to gain further quality experience with excellent CPD prospects in a supportive environment.


It is essential for the role that you have Diploma in Hearing Aid Audiology or equivalent whilst post qualification experience would be an advantage this is also an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified Hearing Aid Audiologist to gain valuable experience and training in an audiology service. Applications are welcome from candidates whose experience has been gained in either the NHS or the private health care sector. Candidates must hold appropriate Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration or be in process of applying for registration.


We are seeking candidates who are able to demonstrate up to date knowledge in audiology practice, assessment techniques, hearing aid provision and rehabilitation of patients. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a team environment as well as being able to work using your own initiative. You must be flexible to adapt to the changing demands of the service and keen to develop yourself.
