We do this by providing a range of specialised support services that enable NHS Boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care.  As a major division within the NHS National Services Scotland the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) plays a vital role not only in the health of the people of Scotland but also on an international scale through our leading position in new product development biomedical research and donor / clinical services. Our goal is to maintain the highest standards to patient care whilst remaining internationally competitive.  We are looking for a friendly, confident and outgoing nurse to provide quality-nursing care for the regional Clinical Apheresis Unit based at the Beatson, West of Scotland Cancer Centre. You will become a member of the nursing team helping to deliver the apheresis service which includes blood stem cell collection, photopheresis, plasma and red cell exchange. Venepuncture and cannulation skills are desirable and good communication skills are essential for this role.  Experience in a closely related field such as Haematology or Renal nursing could be advantageous but not essential.
This permanent post will be based at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre.  The hours are 2 days per week, Monday and Tuesday 09:00 – 17:00.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure Scotland check. 
Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Candidates must have current NMC/GMC/HCPC registration at the time of applying.
