CLINICAL ASSOCIATES IN APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY/CBT THERAPISTS

The Chronic Pain Team are seeking to recruit a number of Clinical Associates in Applied Psychology / CBT Therapists.


The Chronic Pain Management Service provides a full range of clinical psychology services to alleviate psychological distress and promote the psychological well-being of the people of NHS Highland with chronic pain. This includes not only mental health problems but also the application of psychological approaches to a range of health issues including health related behaviour change and the psychological factors relating to the patients chronic pain.


The Chronic Pain Team is a multidisciplinary service and the post holder will be working with a team of clinicians including Consultant Anaesthetists, Nurse Specialists, Physiotherapists and Clinical Psychologists.

The post holder will work under direct clinical supervision of the Lead Clinical Psychologist.   


There are 4 peripheral multidisciplinary chronic pain teams covering the following areas:


Argyll & Bute

Caithness / Sutherland

Skye, Lochalsh & Wester Ross / Lochaber

Inverness / Ross-shire/Nairn & Ardersier /Badenoch & Strathspey


These permanent posts are offered for 18.75 hours per week, although applicants can apply to support more than one area on a 37.5 hours post.  Please state clearly on your application if you are applying for a specific area or areas.


These posts will be worked flexibly to meet service requirements, with some face to face and remote working, however travel throughout the area applied for will be required.
